A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to our Southbank Sharks Girls and Boys Varsity football teams who won their ISSA tournaments in Rome and Madrid last Saturday.
This is the first time in Southbank’s history that the boys and girls have won this tournament together – making us Double ISSA winners 💪🦈
Ten schools from around the world competed in the tournament, and the boys won their final in dramatic style, winning 5-3 on penalties after a 1:1 draw against Madrid- with the Sharks penalty takers scoring every shot. And the girls set records, winning every single game played, scoring 33 goals and conceding only 4. Outstanding achievements from both teams! 🫶👏🥇🏆
Well done Sharks – you did us all proud. To be able to depart, win and return to London Heathrow at the same time was pretty special too! ❤
