WELCOME TO SOUTHBANK INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL
We are London’s leading International Baccalaureate (IB) School, offering a different approach to academic excellence for children aged 2*-18. At our Central London campuses in Hampstead, Kensington and Westminster, we nurture talent, celebrate individuality and develop curious, inquisitive and constantly challenging minds. Our students consistently achieve outstanding results and first-choice university offers.
INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE AT SOUTHBANK
The International Baccalaureate (IB) program is enjoyed by both international learners and those who have not previously studied the IB, including children moving over from private primary or secondary schools. The IB aims to do more than other curricula. It builds students critical thinking skills, nurtures their curiosity and their ability to solve complex problems.
IB DIPLOMA RESULTS
We are proud to share the exceptional results of our graduating Class of 2025 in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). This year, 75 students completed the full Diploma. Their results reflect the hard work, intellectual ambition, and commitment that characterise a Southbank education.
WHY SOUTHBANK?
Through a commitment to academic excellence and a uniquely liberal ethos, the IB also develops students with an inner belief in themselves. Southbank students have an openness to the outside world and a desire to give back to communities on a local, national and global level.

On Friday, 5 June, our Grade 11 Visual Arts students visited the National Gallery to explore the Zurbarán exhibition, a unique opportunity to experience 17th-century Spanish masterworks up close and use them as inspiration for a new unit. 🎨
Francisco de Zurbarán’s Baroque paintings show the power of symbolism, where everyday objects tell powerful stories. Inspired by this, students are now exploring the idea of a “secular saint", creating original artworks that represent contemporary experiences such as burnout, migration, or exam pressure through carefully chosen visual details.
📸 Some of these photographs were taken by Grade 11 photographer E. N., capturing the experience from a student perspective.

Festival of Football at Southbank!⚽
As the 2026 Men’s World Cup kicked off, we brought our school community together to celebrate the beautiful game and the many cultures that make Southbank so special.
Students enjoyed an afternoon of football-themed activities across the school, with plenty of opportunities to play, collaborate and celebrate together.
Children proudly wore football shirts representing their countries or their Sports Day shirts, helping to create a fantastic atmosphere throughout the day. It was wonderful to see our community come together for this exciting global celebration! 🏆

Huge congratulations to our Class of 2026!
Looking back at the graduation ceremony, we are filled with immense pride for everything this group has accomplished. They brought passion, kindness, and dedication to our school community, and watching them cross that stage was an unforgettable milestone.
Thank you to the families, teachers, and all our staff who supported them every step of the way. To our newest alumni: the ceremony may be over, but your journey is just beginning, and we cannot wait to see where your next chapters take you.
Always remember: Once a Southbanker, always a Southbanker!

At Hampstead Campus, Grade 5 students presented their PYP Exhibition to the entire school community. As a culmination of their learning journey, the exhibition was a powerful testament to their inquiry, research, and collaborative skills. Instead of focusing on standardised tests like SATs, which often narrow the scope of learning, the PYP Exhibition allows our students to explore issues they are passionate about, develop solutions, and take meaningful action. This authentic demonstration of their understanding and agency is a real example of the value of an IB education, fostering not just knowledge but also critical thinking, communication, and a deep sense of responsibility towards the world around them. We are incredibly proud of their achievements and the remarkable learning they showcased.
