WELCOME TO SOUTHBANK INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL
We are London’s leading International Baccalaureate (IB) School, offering a different approach to academic excellence for children aged 2*-18. At our Central London campuses in Hampstead, Kensington and Westminster, we nurture talent, celebrate individuality and develop curious, inquisitive and constantly challenging minds. Our students consistently achieve outstanding results and first-choice university offers.
INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE AT SOUTHBANK
The International Baccalaureate (IB) program is enjoyed by both international learners and those who have not previously studied the IB, including children moving over from private primary or secondary schools. The IB aims to do more than other curricula. It builds students critical thinking skills, nurtures their curiosity and their ability to solve complex problems.
IB DIPLOMA RESULTS
We are proud to share the exceptional results of our graduating Class of 2025 in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). This year, 75 students completed the full Diploma. Their results reflect the hard work, intellectual ambition, and commitment that characterise a Southbank education.
WHY SOUTHBANK?
Through a commitment to academic excellence and a uniquely liberal ethos, the IB also develops students with an inner belief in themselves. Southbank students have an openness to the outside world and a desire to give back to communities on a local, national and global level.

Our Grade 9 students recently returned from an unforgettable educational trip to Bosnia 🇧🇦,
Day 1 began with a walking tour of Mostar, exploring the city’s rich culture and history. On Day 2, students visited the Jablaniča Neretva River and the Sarajevo Tunnels Museum, gaining deeper insight into Bosnia’s wartime past and resilience. Day 3 took them to the Srebrenica Genocide Memorial, a profoundly moving and reflective experience. The trip concluded on Day 4 with a Sarajevo city tour, including the cable car and old town, offering a broader understanding of the country’s heritage and recovery.
Students reflected deeply on their experiences, with one sharing:
“I think the most impactful learning experience for me was looking in the cemetery and the museum that accompanied it. It was very eye-opening and it put my whole life into perspective.”
Another added:
“Seeing memorials and learning about events that happened in the actual country we studied was much more impactful than learning about it in London or online.”
Students also reflected on the importance of learning from lived experiences, with one noting how the trip encouraged greater awareness of history, peace, and global responsibility.
A powerful, thought-provoking journey that will stay with our students long after their return.

We’re excited to introduce Early Years Extracurricular Activities, now running twice a week and included in school fees.
From Lego Club to Drawing Club, our youngest learners have even more opportunities to explore creativity, problem-solving and collaboration beyond the classroom.
Research shows that children who participate in extracurricular activities are up to three times more likely to achieve higher academic outcomes, while also developing confidence and social skills.
At our Primary Campus in Kensington, learning doesn’t stop when the school day ends.

A huge congratulations to Mr Brendan Linnane and Mr Zach Fihosy, who both took on the incredible challenge of the London Marathon this year 🏅
From the electric atmosphere and support lining the streets of London to the determination needed to conquer all 26.2 miles, both runners showed outstanding resilience and commitment throughout the race.
Mr Linnane described the experience as “beyond words,” pushing through difficult cramps with the encouragement of the crowds carrying him to the finish line. He completed the marathon in an incredible 2:47:59, with an average pace of 6:12 minutes per mile — an outstanding achievement! 🔥
Mr Fihosy ran in support of For Brothers That Talk @forbrothersthattalk , a community group promoting men’s mental health through open conversations, and achieved an incredible new personal best — taking an impressive 12 minutes off last year’s time! 💚
What an amazing achievement from both members of staff and a fantastic representation of our school community. Congratulations to you both!
